Client: 125th Street Business Improvement District

We plan and produce the 125th Street Business Improvement District’s annual Harlem Holiday Lights celebration which kicks off the holiday season in Harlem, New York. The family friendly all day event includes a caravan of lights and activation sites along the parade route and throughout the Harlem community. Over the past decade we’ve produced countless events for the non profit organization including all aspects of the BID hosted International Downtown Association’s Harlem leg of its New York Convention with bus tours, an outing at the historic Cloisters and a cultural event for over 1000 guests at the Magic Johnson Theater. As well we planned and produced the BID’s Annual meetings attended by property and business owners, property developers, and public officials and organized a panel discussion as part of New York City’s Rezoning of 125th Street where we were responsible for securing panelists, selecting the venue, logistics and creating an agenda. It was praised by the President and Chairman of the125th Street BID’s Board of Directors, as “the most well orchestrated event” in the group’s history.

Client: digitalundivided

We conceptualized and produced the inaugural FOCUS100 conference (“The Most Diverse Tech Conference on the planet”) presented by digitalundivided. The first of its kind FOCUS100 was created for and attended by over 200 founders of tech startups and leaders in tech. We oversaw logistics, recruitment and management of event staff, volunteers and third party vendors and developed all marketing and event collaterals. We secured and managed relationships with event sponsors including Google, Facebook, AMEX Open and Mobile Future and high profile presenters. In addition to FOCUS 100 (which grew to over 500 attendees in year 4) we created, produced and managed all of digitalundivided’s events nationally including FOCUS 100 Atlanta, START Atlanta, Houston, Detroit and New Jersey, Demo Day Atlanta and Newark, Hackathons and Influencer dinners in St. Louis, Austin, and San Francisco.

We planned and produced a VIP reception and Ribbon Cutting ceremony for the opening of Red Lobster in Harlem, New York, the largest in the US. We were responsible for everything from conception to marketing collateral and giveaways, which highlighted the brand’s commitment to the Harlem community. We worked with local artists whose works and talents are featured at the restaurant and during the one of a kind event and managed the guest list that included local politicians, community leaders, property developers and owners, as well as Harlem based bloggers, foodies, celebrities and the media.

For 10 years we produced and coordinated all aspects of BRAG’s Scholarship and Awards gala, Black History Month celebrations, Holiday Toy Drives and Fundraisers including theme, visual concepts, venue selection, decor & design, invitations and souvenir journals. We were responsible for securing celebrity talent, emcees and VIP guests including Sean Diddy Combs, supermodel Naomi Campbell, television host Tamron Hall, Earvin Magic Johnson and others.

Premiered and hosted NYC Nights an American and vintage designer showcase held at the world famous Jumeriah Zabeel Saray and Shangri La hotels in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. We were able to secure extensive editorial coverage in television, print and online articles both for Emirates Television and the Huffington Post.

Proposed and produced event and VIP dinner celebrating recording artist Deborah Cox’s opening night performance in AIDA.

Secured celebrity hosts and guests including Will Smith and Jay Manuel of America’s Next Top Model.

Online Fashion magazine

Planned and produced VIP luncheon to celebrate the launch of eBay’s online fashion magazine at the luxurious Mandarin Oriental in New York City.

Secured fashion industry luminaries and influencers who attended including representatives from The Washington Post, The New York Times, Vanity Fair and Esquire along with top fashion designers Yeohlee and Stephen Burrows and others.
